The Romanian Police, the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC), the Romanian Association of Banks (ARB) and Ascendia, a company specialised in the development of e-learning solutions, are launching, within the national digital and cyber education project #SigurantaOnline, six e-learning courses free of charge. The courses will be available free of charge to children, parents and teachers, with the main objective of the initiative being to increase preparedness to avoid the main online threats and to properly manage the risks to Internet use. The new campaign "Protection through education: Digital Security” aims to make a real difference in the community by disseminating these free online lessons that are extremely useful in the educational process. The main objective of the initiative is to make each member of the community more aware of online security risks and to equip themselves appropriately with the tools and knowledge needed to safely navigate the internet. The campaign partners developed essential courses for pupils aged 7-14 (Protect Your Financial Data, Internet Addiction, Child Pornography Prevention and Online Data Management) as well as courses for teachers, parents and trainers (Cyber Security – General Access and Digital Security of Children). Following these modules, participants will acquire a package of essential online security knowledge needed to protect themselves from the most serious threats. Users will add effective methods of protecting money and sensitive data to their knowledge when browsing the Internet, and students will be able to realize what preventive measures are needed to avoid becoming victims of child pornography. In addition, young people will also be informed about the causes and impact of internet addiction. Users interested in e-learning courses are invited to sign up to access them for FREE by filling in the application form available at the following link: https://formare.elearning.ro/register. In the first stage, the courses can be completed from 31 October 2023 until 15 December 2023, after authentication in the platform, athttps://formare.elearning.ro/. The course application guide is available here: https://www.elearning.ro/tutorial-de-inscriere-in-campania-siguranta-online. We remind you that in a world where technology and the Internet are present every day in our lives, online safety is vital, and early childhood education and prevention can provide the necessary protection against the dangers on the Internet.
