We would like to invite you to a training session entitled: ‘Security in the era of new technologies and needs’. The meeting will be hosted by: - Tamara Cieślak, Product Manager at AB S.A. - Maria Mirowska-Grzeszna, Networking & Security Engineer You are cordially invited! Accustomed to a dynamically developing world, we often do not think which way new technologies will lead us. It is important to realise that maintaining balance and a common sense view of emerging opportunities is the key to success and security. The vast majority of inventions initially impress us because, at first sight, they seem to have no disadvantages, and indeed to be a relief to us from mundane activities such as cleaning, laundry, cooking through driving to preparing a presentation at work or writing simple code. Does such a world really only have advantages? We will place special emphasis at this event on: - The most common forms of scams we encounter online and how to defend against them? - Addressing the discussion related to the popular trend of artificial intelligence and the smart-home, smartcar, smartlife as a blessing or perhaps a curse of today? - Verification and filtering of online content - Strong passwords, two-factor authentication, anti-virus software and system updates. - Steps to take if you have already become a victim of cybercriminals. The training is organised by the AB Competence Centre

Social media activity is now one of the key elements of brand building and winning new customers. Unfortunately, the increasing number of phishing attacks and cyber threats makes the security of accounts (corporate and private) on platforms like Facebook and Instagram vulnerable. On the other hand, a huge number of users do not have the time to click on secure settings or consider themselves to be non-technical. During this practical online training, female participants will learn: - Why their accounts are a valuable target for scammers, even if they have few followers, - What scam patterns have been recurring in recent months, how to recognise them and protect themselves against them, - What simple steps they can take to effectively secure their accounts against attacks and data loss. Maria Bielska, webinar organiser, helps female entrepreneurs effectively manage projects and secure their accounts to protect their online output. The webinar not only provides technical knowledge in an accessible way, but also provides a space to ask questions and share experiences among women with similar challenges. Sign up today and keep your online business safe. Date: 30 October 2024, 10:00 a.m. Registration: https://www.czasowewyzwania.pl/nie-daj-sie/

The EU Directive NIS2 (second EU Directive on Network and Information Security) to strengthen cybersecurity, adopted on December 14, 2022, must be implemented into German law by October 17, 2024. The German implementation of the directive - NIS2UmsuCG ("NIS-2-Umsetzungs- und Cybersicherheitsstärkungsgesetz") - is currently (as of July 2024) in the form of a government draft. The deadline will most likely not be met. The likely date for enactment is March 2025. The new law will require large parts of the German economy to take comprehensive cybersecurity measures. The NIS2UmsuCG affects operators of critical facilities (KRITIS) and other institutions (by industry and company size), as well as some special cases and federal institutions. In this webinar, you will learn what obligations arise from NIS2 and what measures must be taken in companies. One focus is on the risk management measures for particularly important facilities and important facilities according to § 30, as well as the resulting obligations of the management according to § 38.

The workshop for Samsung male and female employees, based on the experience of the Samsung Galaxy Station programme, aimed to raise participants' awareness of the importance of education on digital wellbeing and online safety from an early age. Participants and attendees took part in a variety of activities that not only increased their own knowledge of digital hygiene, but also provided practical examples of offline activities that can be offered to the youngest children. A discussion on the involvement of parents, teachers and children themselves in digital hygiene and digital safety education was also part of the workshop. As a result, participants gained valuable tools that they can use both in their professional and personal lives.
