On November 8, 2022, the Ministry of Climate and Environment is organizing a conference summarizing the year of operation of the "Recommendations of the Minister of Climate and Environment on actions aimed at strengthening cybersecurity in the energy sector and sectoral guidelines for reporting incidents" published in September 2021. The conference will be held in the form of a closed meeting, to which mainly representatives of entities from the energy sector will be invited. During the conference, we will focus, among other things, on the experiences gathered during the first year of operation of the Recommendation. This document is a set of guidelines supporting the implementation of cybersecurity requirements in the energy sector, taking into account the specificity of the sector related to the dominance of industrial control systems. Substantive and discussion panels will also cover topics related to cybersecurity of the energy sector, challenges, good practices, know-how, new technologies, etc. It should be emphasized that the sector recommendations of the Minister of Climate and Environment are a "living" document, which means their updating and improvement. Therefore, the organized meeting is also intended to present new issues that may affect the future shape of the document. The conference is co-financed by the European Union's Connecting Europe Facility as part of the project to increase the capacity of the competent authority in the field of cybersecurity of the energy sector.

Identity is the front line in the battle against modern cyber threats. Nearly 80% of cyberattacks leverage compromised credentials to gain access and evade detection. These attacks often come in via unmanaged or rogue endpoints, legacy systems, supply chain vendors or other attack vectors that are outside the scope of endpoint-centric security controls.
