Cybersecurity in Finance workshop
This October marks the EU’s 8th European Cybersecurity Month, promoting online security among citizens. In light of this occasion, SOTER will be joined by several other H2020 projects tackling cybersecurity, including CRITICAL-CHAINS, FIN-TECH, FINSEC, CyberSec4Europe, CONCORDIA and SPARTA (CAPE Programme), to exchange knowledge, lessons learned and best practices on cybersecurity with a focus on the financial sector. The first part of the workshop will highlight how the different projects are tackling cybersecurity in this sector, followed by a panel discussion on Regulations, Cybersecurity, Digital Identity, & Training. The workshop is free and open to all stakeholders in the financial services sector and anyone with an interest in cybersecurity. These projects have received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

EU CyberNet Annual Conference
As we come to close this year’s European Cybersecurity Month, it is also time to reflect on where we are in building our cyber capacity and that of our partners around the world. The conference will be opened by Ms Jutta Urpilainen, European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Mr. Urmas Reinsalu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Estonia and Mr. Margus Noormaa, Director General of Estonian Information System Authority. The 2,5-hour programme will then continue with two panel discussions that explore issues such as: - What are currently the key issues in international cooperation in the field of cyber security and the role of the European Union could play? - What could be the best cooperation models and main priorities for future capacity building activities? - What practical experience has been gained on the ground with internationally funded projects? - What are the capability gaps and how can we improve the coordination and management of future activities? - How to achieve sustainability and unity-of effort between the EU, the Member States and the partner countries? The conference will be complete after a practical session on EU CyberNet, inter alia introducing how to become an expert or how to join as an institutional stakeholder.

Kybernetické bezpečnostní incidenty
Kybernetické bezpečnostní incidenty jsou pro moderní organizace běžnou součástí denní reality. Jejich efektivní zvládání je nezbytné pro eliminaci souvisejících zranitelností a zajištění minimalizace vzniklých škod. Přestože reakce na incidenty může probíhat ad-hoc formou, bez využití jakéhokoli formalizovaného procesu, nedostatky uvedeného přístupu jsou zřejmé. Pro dosažení stabilně dobrých výsledků při zvládání incidentů je nezbytný kvalitní návrh efektivních procesů, jimiž se bude reakce řídit. Dokumentem, který popis těchto procesů a jejich návaznost na další bezpečnostní dokumentaci obsahuje, je Plán reakce na incidenty (Incident Response Plan - IRP).
