The campaign aims to target the general public (for purchased media ages 25-45) and small business (0-10 employees). What unites them is that they are frequent users of modern technology. They are busy people, using technology to simplify their lives, making them more efficient.

This year’s information security campaign - TÄNK SÄKERT - and is organised by Swedish Contingency agency (MSB) and the Swedish Police Authority in collaboration with a number of Swedish organisations from both the public and private sector:

The aim of this year’s campaign is to continue to raise awareness around information security with a specific focus on emerging technologies (IoT) and problems related to credit card fraud and inadequate password hygiene.

We have produced campaign commercial consisting of several different scenes from office environments and every day family life. The commercial, and specific scenes from it, will run on social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), Swedish television as well as in movie theatres across the country.

Physical events will take place at workplaces across the county and at many of our public libraries. At some event the local police, local businesses and CISO:s join forces to spread information and discuss information security topics. Many of the events are open to the public.

Some of the regional hospitals will use their waiting rooms and other general areas to spread campaign messages to patients and employees.
