CyberSafe - challenges for education employees (3rd edition)

On October 9, 2019, in the ŁDK cinema hall, the third conference of the "CyberBsecni" series was organized by the Information Society Department of the Digitization Department of the Marshal's Office of the Łódź Voivodeship. Conference participants were representatives of the education sector (principals, teachers, school counselors, library employees and others) from the Lodz region. In total about 200 people took part in the event.

The guest of honor was Mr. Grzegorz Wierzchowski - Łódź Curator of Education, who gave a short speech emphasizing the importance of topics discussed during the conference and the purposefulness of such initiatives, contributing to raising awareness about opportunities and threats in cyberspace.

As in the previous year, this time there were also interesting topics, including factors protecting against behaviors undertaken by young people on the Internet, media education based on the use of technology, prevention - why and how to use it to reduce problem behaviors. Participants could also hear the speech of an officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź, who presented case studies of current 21st threats in the lurking network. There was also an aspect related to fake news, this time from a legal point of view. The last speech on the National Cybersecurity System and the role of an ordinary citizen was presented by a representative of the Ministry of Digitization.

The purpose of the event, which was to expand knowledge about security in cyberspace in terms of potential threats among children and adolescents, has been fully achieved.
