IBM organises security workshops for 25 non-profit organisations

As part of EU CyberSecurity Month, 25 non-profit organisations participated in a 'CyberSecurity for non-profits' workshop at IBM. Charities, Non-Profit and Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) rely greatly on the use of IT for their day to day operations and long term strategy. When it comes to IT security they are no different than any other organisation, it is essential that they protect confidential information and ensure their systems are constantly online. Because of this they need to ensure they are protecting their staff and systems against cyber security vulnerabilities. The presentation, delivered by two experts from IBM's Cyber Security Team, covered types of cyber attacks, security awareness through gamification and open source tools.
