Given the increasing use of the Internet and IT, the creation of a secure environment for infrastructure and service is particularly critical. Recent legislative initiatives of the European Union change the way the Internet collects and manages private information. Citizens of the European Union now have greater control over the security of their personal data and websites are subject to strict compliance mandates to ensure their protection. However, legal compliance alone does not shield organizations from cyber attacks. An in-depth risk assessment is a first important step. The more we are aware of the risks and the context of their avoidance, the easier we will deal with them.
