Official launch of the Danish Cyber Situation Center

October 1st will mark the official launch of the Danish Cyber Situation Center that in time will provide Denmark with a 24/7 situational overview of cyberattacks hitting Danish authorities, companies and other organisations in Denmark. The Situation Center is hosted by the Center for Cybersecurity, CFCS, which is part of the Danish Defense Intelligence Service. The Situation Center will be pre-launched by the Danish Defense Minister and the head of the Danish Defense Intelligence Service in the days leading up to 1 October. By being a one stop shop for the reporting of cyberattacks for public and private institutions, the Situation Center will mark a significant increase in Denmarks ability to collect knowledge of and ultimately to counter cyberattacks in the future.

Live hacking event as part of the “Copenhagen Culture Night”

In collaboration with KL and Danish Regions the Agency for Digitisation is organizing a workshop that will questioning the classic campaign form as the future tool to reach the citizens' and increases the citizens awareness of cyber and information security.

Launch of Information Portal and National Awareness Campaign

In October 2018, a new Danish information portal aimed at citizens, businesses and authorities will be launched. The information portal will contain information, data, and advice about information security. The aim is to raise the digital competencies of the population and the general information security level in Denmark. An information effort and an awareness campaign will be carried out from 30th of October until 30th of November, primarily targeted at citizens and public employees. The aim of this activity is twofold: Firstly, the activity must inform the Danes about the new website. Secondly, the awareness activities must increase awareness about information security among citizens and public employees and knowledge about how to raise their digital security.

An information portal will be established which will contain readily accessible information and advice, specific tools for citizens, businesses and authorities regarding information security and data protection, as well as how to comply with current legislation. The content of the portal will be dynamic, current and regularly updated with the most recent knowledge. Moreover, an awareness campaign will be launched. The campaign targets citizens and seeks to increase their awareness about threats to their information and data security. It also seeks to equip citizens with tools and advice on how to protect their data.
