Cyber attacks on Norsk Hydro

"Cyber attacks on Norsk Hydro on March 19, 2019 and <other current attack - will follow later> - What happened" Come to morning meeting in IDA IT and hear 2 Danish IT security experts' analysis and perspective of 2 current cyber attacks - with discussion with colleagues in the hall.

Experts in IT security in the energy sector Søren Egede Knudsen and Mikael Vingaard have analyzed two cyber attacks and will tell us about during an hour - afterwards there will be 30 minutes for questions from the hall:

• What were the attacks?
• Which attacking methods did the hackers use?
• What learning points are there from the attacks - and how can you use these in your own everyday life?


About the presenters:

Mikael is employed as a Specialist, Industrial Security at Energinet.dk (under transfer to the Danish Energy Agency). He has 15 years of experience in information security, auditing and emergency planning. Much of his teaching experience comes from working as an instructor at the CISSP training as well as IT security conferences (SCADA) where he has contributed with workshops and presentations. In his spare time, Mikael runs one of the world's largest ICS / SCADA Honeypot networks for data collection and attack trends.

Søren has more than 20 years of experience in information security, and has worked with cyber security in OT systems since 2009. Søren is an independent IT / OT security expert. He has previously been CTO of Ezenta and Chief Consultant of the Danish Energy Agency. Søren currently runs the OT security group on LinkedIn and also gives lectures internationally, among other things. for the SANS Institute and Kaspersky around OT security.

The annual Homeland Security Conference is an innovation and technology conference, which since 2014 has focused on bringing together representatives from the cyber security community, industry decision makers, governmental authorities and academics. This year, the 6th Homeland Security Conference takes a point of departure in the concepts Smart Cities & Sensitive Sites.

We involve some of the leading international experts and professionals from the homeland and cyber security community, in order to give further insights about both challenges and business opportunities right now within the security industry. This is reflected in the programme wtih contributions from various stakeholders with both domestic and international focus in order to enforce a dynamic approach to the conference and topics.

This year, the 6th Homeland Security Conference takes a point of departure in the concepts Smart Cities & Sensitive Sites.

Focus during the first day of the conference is to provide insights into the smart city concept and identify challenges and explore proactive countermeasures to the smart technologies within the Homeland Security context. During the afternoon, we will open up for international company pitches and B2B meetings.

The second day of the conference will focus on securing smart energy technology, and provide international perspectives on cyber security activities to strengthen cyber capabilities.

The 6th edition of CenSec's annual conference is this year held in connection with a larger fair called Danish Security Fair. The fair is focused primarily on physical security solutions and by hosting the conference collaterally with the fair, our ambition has been to create synergies between the conference and the exhibition. ISO-27001 bootcamp
