Boosting EU cyber resilience: awareness and information

Insurance Europe

As recent global cyber-attacks have demonstrated, it is crucial for our increasingly interconnected society to strengthen its cyber security and resilience. Insurers play a key role in this process, both by raising the awareness of individuals and companies, particularly SMEs, of how to avoid attacks, and by providing a range of services, such as assistance, mitigation and financial compensation when attacks do occur. The effective fight against cyber threats requires cooperation between different stakeholders, including in particular public authorities and insurers. The event will discuss ways to strengthen this cooperative effort.
