Shoot the Phish
You are sitting in front of your PC – suddenly a message appears on your screen: Can you open it? Is this a legitimate message? Or should you shoot it down in flames? Decide quickly, before all your data are lost!
The shooting game “Phishing Master”, the entertaining online game was developed by two students from the Karlsruhe Instiute of Technology, Tobias Länge and Philipp Matheis, as part of the digilog@bw project, which is financed by MWK (Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst). The game aims at helping users to learn to distinguish between fraudulent and legitimate messages. The users are asked to shoot fraudulent messages and keep the legitimate ones. The faster the users decide, the more points they gain.
