Open Source Intelligence for investigative journalists

Fraunhofer Academy

The analysis of personal information is based on a variety of freely available sources of information - e.g. from social networks - many potential opportunities, but also associated dangers - such as identity theft - for the modern expert in the digital journalistic and media sector. The aggregation of meaningful personal information is a challenge. The reason is given by data protection restrictions, which prohibit a complete access to the source of information.
